Homeschooling laws depend on the state that you live in (some states have more requirements than others). But in general, families can choose curriculum to use with their children based off of the academic/learning needs of their children, as well as what their children are interested in. Some families choose to follow the typical school year for their area, while others choose to use more of a year round model, with breaks throughout the year. Families can choose to homeschool by just teaching their children by themselves, or can do so with the help of a tutor (either online or in-person).
