HELP PLS // It takes 3 3/5 minutes to fill an empty aquarium to a depth of 3/8 meters. What is the unit rate in minutes per meter? Write your answer as a fraction or a mixed number in simplest form.

The unit rate is means the bottom number, or denomonator, is 1. So just set it up as a ratio, or fraction, and divide the top number by the bottom number. 3 3/5 = 6.6. 3/8 = 0.375. So just divide 3.6 by 0.375 to get 9.6. The answer is 9.6 minutes per meter.

This is a rate problem, and you can use, rate x time = distance to find your unit rate: First convert the time to an improper fraction: 18/5 Plug in the numbers into the r x t=d formula r(18/5 minutes) = 3/8 meters Then multiply by 5/18 on both sides to isolate the variable 'r' and you get, 5/48 meters/min. The problem asks for the unit rate in minutes/meters, so you flip the answer to get 48/5, which is 9 6/10 or 9 3/5 minutes/meter in simplest form.
