I am not exactly seeing what the question is for this, but your statement is correct. Weathering is the physical breakdown of a rock without the now broken pieces being transported to another location. These pieces can be very small or they can be rather large. The trick is that weathering is associate with no movement.
If rocks are broken down and there is movement, that would then be considered erosion. That is your key difference.
