Hello - We have completed 1 tutoring session. I was under the impression the first one was free.

Some tutors offer a free demo lesson/intro call. I personally offer a 15 minute chat about expectations, goals, learning style and anything else you want to discuss before we start.

Then I assume the student is paying.

wyzant does have something called the "good fit guarantee" this doesn't mean the first lesson is always free.... it does mean if for some reason the session didn't go well or you didn't connect with the tutor, you wont be charged for the FIRST LESSON. I wouldn't use it unless you really had an issue with the lesson, it reflects poorly on the tutor!
