Think of a dart board when you talk about reliability and validity. Validity is how close you can get to the bullseye/how accurate you are and reliability is how much you can hit the same spot/ how consistent you are. So with validity, is the measure actually measuring what it aims to? And for reliability, does the measure provide consistent results?
I hope this helps!
