Clearly you spent 299+111 = 410 (not 411).
Together you spent a total of:
410+148 =558. If you had split that cost evenly then you each would have spent:
558/2 = 279. Clearly your brother did not spend nearly that much. He needs to pay an additional:
279 - 148 = 131 (but that difference goes to you).
With that additional $131 from your brother you will have spent: 410 - 131 = $279.
And your brother will have spent: 148+131 = $279.
So, have your brother give you $131 (in cash) and you can call it even.
