Problem 1 help needed algebra

A)Label the axes on the graph below (b) sketch a qualitative graph that models the description

Problem 1:Let h be the height in feet of a tennis ball at t seconds after it was dropped the ball bounces several times then stops.

Problem 2:Grandma takes a hot apple pie out of the oven and leaves it on the counter to cool let T be the temperature (in °F) of the pie x minutes after it is set on the counter.

Well it says to label the axes on the graph, sketch a qualitative graph that models the description but how do I know what I am doing or sketching is correct? if there is no equation.

Thats the "qualitative" part, you aren't expected to have exact numbers on the graph, just the axes and the shape of the line will need to be right. If the question asked for a "quantitative" graph, you are right in that you would need an equation or a set of points to graph it accurately. A: X will be time (in seconds) and Y will be height (in feet) as Francisco said, but the question says the ball bounces several times before it comes to a stop, so the line on the graph would go back up after hitting the x axis several times with the height of the peak getting lower each time until the ball comes to a "stop" at the x axis. B: X will be time (in minutes) and Y will temperature (in °F) - be sure to label the units as well as I have here. For this line, temperature will decrease with time so the line will start somewhere on the Y axis above 0 and decrease to meet the X axis at 0.
