Hi Sydney! I'd be happy to help you. These questions are definitely tricky! I'll walk you through what you need to do, using the first item as an example.
Step 1: Identify the direct object, or the thing being acted on. The first sentence, "Yo hago la tarta para mi mama," translates to "I make the cake for my mom." The direct object is "la tarta" (the cake).
Step 2: Replace the direct object with a pronoun. Since "la tarta" is a feminine singular noun, we'll replace it with "la."
Step 3: Put the direct pronoun before the verb. In English, we don't change the word order when switching from a noun to a pronoun: "I make the cake for my mom" becomes "I make it for my mom." However, in Spanish, the direct pronoun gets moved: it has to go before the verb. So in your answer for item 1, you should write, "Yo la hago para mi mama." The direct pronoun "la" goes before the verb "hago."
Step 4: Check for missing accents. Look at each word in the sentence, and figure out if an accent is missing. You can Google the correct spelling. For item 1, you'll need to add an accent to "mamá."
Follow the same sequence of steps for each of the other items. Please let me know if you need additional assistance!
