For online students that are easily distracted, at the beginning of the lessons we can give an initial assessment in order to identify interests an prepare the class using these characteristics.

Required is a 30 minute written and oral assessment which includes answering questions with correct grammar. resding comprehension, language fluency, and a section where the student answers orally using complete sentences and proper grammar and word usage. Then I start with a picture game where I show a picture of a sports activity and have the student write in proper grammar what is taking place in the picture, then review and correct the answers with my help. These types of activities are fun for children and keep them engaged so they are not distracted. Positive feedback and encouragement at the end of each lesson, and focusing on strengths of the student helps them progress.
