What is the maximum horsepower Algebra problem

The engine in a ice cream truck has a power curve approximated by Y=-X^2/5000 + 19x/23 -26

X is the RPM, Y is the horsepower generated (notice the a and b values are fractions)

What is the maximum horsepower? Round your answer to three decimal places.

So it would be -1/2500 times 19/23? I'm not sure what it means to "plug into the equation -b(2a)

Not quite. Take your negative b and divide it by 2 times a. You should get a value somewhere between 1000 and 1050
