These specific verbs change their stems in the preterite and are considered irregular.
"venir" takes the stem "vin–"
"traer" --> "traj–"
"estar" --> "estuv–"
"decir" --> "dij–"
"querer" --> "quis–"
Then, onto these new stems, you can add the subject endings, "e", "iste", "o", "imos", "ie/eron".
So, for example, #5 would be "quisimos".
