If I understand your question correctly, the answer is yes! For example, in your sentence "Voy a hacer la tarea", the DOP is going to be "la" b/c "tarea" is singular and feminine, and you can either put it on its own before "Voy" or attach it to "hacer", so your options are "La voy a hacer" or "Voy a hacerla". You can attach it to the infinitive "hacer" or stick it by itself before the conjugated verb "voy". Hope that helps ¡Mucha suerte!
