You could slog through this with the coefficient of thermal expansion of aluminum, chilling it. If you're doing this course, you need to know how to do that. But then, you could have some fun: 660.3 C is the melting point of aluminum, you can make it any amount shorter you want!
Have watched an aluminum boat burn in a garage. Awesome! (didn't leave much of the garage roof, either)
