1) how many beats per second is this?

2) what is the time in seconds between consecutive pulse beats?

3)How far (in meters) does an object fall in this time when dropped from rest?

4)What is this distance in feet?

1) 75/min = 75/60sec = 75/60 = 15/12 = 5/4 = 1.25 beats per second

2) time between beats = the inverse = 1/5/4= 4/5 = 0.8 seconds

3) h(t) = -4.9t^2 + ho

h(.8) = -4.9(.8)^2 +ho = -4.9(.64) + ho

= 3.136 meters drop in .8 seconds

4) 3.136 meters =10.288714 feet drop between beats

= about 10.29 feet
