Using the equations of motion for uniform acceleration:
(i) v = u + at
(ii) s = ut + at2/2
where v is the final velocity, u the initial velocity (zero in this case), and a the gravity acceleration, and s the displacement (that in this case is 80m).
Using the second equation (ii):
80 = 0 + 9.8t2/2
Isolating t:
t2 = 2*80/9.8
t = 4.04 seconds.
And you can find the final velocity 'v' if you substitute t in the first equation (i).
