This could go many ways but something I have taught is that scientific questions should always be quantifiable.
Good survey question: How many times per month do you eat “fast food”? (This question will create data - think, can I graph my results?)
Not so great survey question: Which fast food restaurant is your favorite? (This is subjective and does not answer any scientific questions.)
