Hi Ella, I see you posted this a week ago, but on the off chance it was a long-term assignment...
Introduction Paragraph: I would suggest discussing how the Bill of Rights is important because the Anti-Federalists would not have passed the Constitution without one. The Anti-Federalists disliked the idea of a strong centralized government and were afraid of overreach (monarchy, dictatorship, etc). Your thesis should list the three ideas from the revolution.
I, personally, would choose the Third Amendment "No soldier shall, in time of peace be quartered in any house, without the consent of the owner" which is an obvious shout-out to the Quartering Act of 1765. Next paragraph I would choose one of the 5-8 amendments. Many of the people who fled to the New World did so because of persecution in Europe. Furthermore, you could discuss how the wealthy members of England were the ones creating laws and protecting their own interests. Finally, I would use the First Amendment specifically freedom of the press. The Zenger trial in 1734 was brought by a British governor against a colonist for libel charges. It is obviously important as it was the first listed; implying it was one of the first issues the Anti-Federalists thought of.
Conclusion: Restate thesis in a different way or re-state the most important facts from the paragraphs. You can even add how this impacted the United States or other implications. Remember this is not the place to add new information. Good luck on your paper!
