y =3x/2 +2
3x/2+2 = x-1
x/2 =-3
x =-6
y=-7
the point (-6,-7) is the intersection of the two lines
y=x-1 is an upward sloping line with slope = 1 and y intercept =-1
y=3x/2+2 is an upward sloping line with slope = 3/2 and y intercept =2
they intersect in quadrant III where both x and y are negative
