Everything is Possible
Readers will know parts of a piece of writing have been omitted by the use of ellipses. An example is:
"O say can you see...and the rockets' red glare..."

asked 07/08/22I've got a poem that has been selected for a magazine, they want to use parts of the poem (it's 21 pages) How can they show this without making it look like its the actual order of the poem?

"O say can you see...and the rockets' red glare..."
By putting ellipses in place of the unpublished portions, readers will know something's been omitted.
Example: "Roses are red...Sugar is sweet and so are you."
