The transition from agricultural to an industrial society led to socialism and communism was due to the drastic shift from majority of farmers to majority of urban workers. Due to industrialism rising, so did the increase of machine creating for more capital-intensive techniques which resulted to a decrease in agricultural skills such as farming. The lower class, farmers were distressed with the transition because it it made agriculture less rewarding therefore it resulted in the emergence of many socialist movement. In addition, the rise with communism sparked with the interest that there is no social class and no state classification united under one entity where everyone is equal and treated fairly to balance everything (agriculture and industry).
