Something to think about - a variable is just a letter for an unknown number! I'll use the arguably, most famous one - x. We now have:
x*20 = x+ 16.
Using "equation notation", we have... (this just turns multiplication into terms):
20x = x+ 16.
Combine like terms and solve for x! Let me know if you have questions.
