I sent only 2 messages yesterday to 2 tutors inquiring about their availability but this morning I noticed I have received multiple messages from others tutors. Were messages sent directly to the other tutors without my knowledge? How do I change this?

I believe that both tutors and clients can reach out to make connections regarding job opportunities. From my end, the Wyzant platform allows me to see nine or ten jobs within my qualifications for tutoring. It is possible that the tutors you did not contact directly all saw your job posting on the Wyzant platform and reached out.
I don't know what the student end of the platform looks like, but if you go to your dashboard and check preferences, there may be an option to restrict who sees your job postings.
I don't see your posting on my end, but i notice your question is under the Spanish category. I understand you're skittish about direct contact from tutors you didn't reach out to directly, but I may be able to help with your tutoring needs.
