I'll tell you after we meet.

asked 04/06/22So, I've heard in multiple movies or serieses actors using future tense followed by "after" then past tense, it makes me go nuts not to remember an exact scene, but for example: "I'll tell you after we met". So, I need to know if that's correct and what's that rule called and when to use it. Thanks in advance.

Okay, so now I just saw something similar in the series Legacies S04 Ep12 minute 16:55 "let's get a drink, shall we? It's time I told you everything" so, why is it in the past shouldn't it be "it's time I tell you everything"?04/06/22
