For starters, inequalities are very similar to equations! Our goal is still to solve for the variable. The "equality" rules also apply - meaning whatever we change on one side, we have to change on the other. To do this, we need to isolate the variable/variable term using inverse operations. Since I have a variable term, I will isolate it by taking the inverse of 5 on both sides...
107 - 5 > 5 (- 5) +6x
102 > 6x (to solve for x, we must take the inverse of multiplication. *tip, dividing or multiplying by negatives always flips your inequality for future cases).
