This same table appeared yesterday (with correct top title row), but the values in the rows and columns differed. The question was - probabiity of master's, given age 40 - 49.

Thanks! If the question is "What is the probability that a randomly chosen person between the ages of 40 and 49 will have a master's degree?", then the answer would be 813/2220, or 271/740.

The question is this: How much fencing should a person 40-49 purchase in order to build a fence around the property?

Frank H.: I'd say you'd need to specify which age group you needed to keep penned up. They get wilier as they get older; some of the oldest ones try to burrow under, a matter of grave concern.
