How to professionally greet in Spanish
If you had to do a speaking exam, how would you greet your professor in a way that sounds professional?

Buenos días (good morning) and buenas tardes (good afternoon) work well as formal greetings. I hope this is helpful. Buena suerte (good luck) with your exam!

Assuming we walk into a room in the morning of the exam, and the professor is male, we would formally greet him like this: Buenos días, ¿cómo está Usted profesor? Un placer conocerlo. Translated: “Good morning, how are you professor? Nice to meet you.” We emphasize the word “usted” for a very formal way in Spanish.08/08/23
