Hi Emily,
I would argue for option B. Somatic disorders are ones relating to the hyperawareness and excessive worrying of a medical condition or symptom. The key for treating this disorder is for the doctor to reassure that they are ok and provide reasoning as to why they are feeling a particular way. Explaining how the patient is experiencing heightened symptoms because of anxiety can be beneficial but it doesn't work for all cases. In order to move on many patients must change their cognitions around health and their bodily functions or sensations.
