Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
2x - 2y = -4
2x +4y = 8 subtract 1st from 2nd equation, to eliminate one variable,
6y = 12
y = 12/6 = 2
2x = -4+4 =0
x = 0
(0,2) is the solution
Unless you really intended to write it as
2x -2y = -4
2x +4 = 8
then the 2nd equation reduces to
2x = 4
x = 2
2y = 2)(2)+4 = 8
y = 8/2 = 4
(2, 4) is the solution. But odds are you left a "y" out of the 2nd equation, so go with (0,2)
