Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
if 1/4 in = 3 feet
1/2 in = 6 feet
1 3/4 = 21 feet
1/2 = 2/4 = 2(1/4) corresponding to 2(3) = 6 feet
1 3/4 = 7/4 = 7(1/4) corresponding to 7(3) = 21 feet
No drawing seems to show up in your question, other than a straight line. If that line is the perimeter, straighten out, 6 and 21 are the answers. But "perimeter" means the total of the outside lengths of an enclosed area. Maybe the 1/2 in and 1 3/4 in are each one side of a rectangular garden? if so the perimeters are 4 times as much or 4x6 = 24 feet and 4x21 = 84 feet.
if it's a circular garden, and the 1/4 and 1 3/4 are the radius, then the "perimeter" = the circumference = pi(r)^2 = pir(6)^2 = 36pi and pi(21)^2 = 441 pi ft^2. But generally, they don't use perimeter to refer to circles.
If it's a triangular shaped garden, and 6 and 21 are sides of the triangle, multiply by 3 to get the perimeter, to get 18 and 63 ft^2.
You might want to enclose a "drawing" or indicate what the 1/4 and 1 3/4 inches represent, a side of the garden or the full perimeter? and what shape is the garden. pentagon or gardens with more than 5 sides would just mean multiply by 5 or more to obtain the perimeter.
