We can see that x values are changing with 16+3=19, 19+3=22 change in x values is 3
also,
We can see that f(x) values are changing with 2+2=4, 4+2=6 change in x values is 2
slope of the function= change in f(x) / change in x
put values in above formula
the slope of the function= 2/3
Hence, slope of the function= 2/3
Alternative Method:
Pick any two values of x and f(x).
(16,2) & (19,4)
x1= 16,y1=2 & x2=19,y2=4
Slope of function = (y2-y1) / (x2-x1)
put the values in above formula
Slope of function = (4-2) / (19-16) = 2 / 3
Hence, the slope of the function= 2/3

Have you applied the slope formula: change in y/change in x or in this case change f(x) / change in x?02/04/22
