Hiw in the heck do i turn Fractions into numbers...

Please someone just tell me how to turn these fractions into numbers cause I'm leaving my mind...¼, and ⅓....

1/4 + 1/3, multiply 1st fraction by 3/3 and 2nd by 4/4. multiplying each term by 1 leaves the term the same

=3/3(4) + 4/4(3)

= 3/12 + 4/12 with the same denominator, just add the numerators

= 7/12

or

1/4 + 1/3, multiply and divide by 12. 12/12 = 1. multiply by 1 leaves the expression the same

(1/12)(12/4 + 12/3)

=(1/12)(3+4)

= (1/12)7

= 7/12
