What is tutoring like on this platform as a tutor? (ease of use, getting paid, platform fees)

I am an online writing tutor, what is it like tutoring on this platform as opposed to others?

Do you pay a monthly or annual fee to use the platform or does it take commission, if so, how much is the fee/commission?

Hi Samantha! Welcome to online tutoring here at WyzAnt!

I have been a WyzAnt tutor for one entire decade, having switched to full-time online tutoring here at the network at the onset of the pandemic when schools closed in March 2020. I have found and enjoyed lots of professional success here as a tutor-teacher and I intend for it to continue forever onward in that light.

To answer each of your questions:

*Tutoring online here at WyzAnt allows tutors and students to use the network's online learning tool which can help students and tutors ScreenShare writing and math exercises, as well as other online academic content with one another. Tutors can show students how to solve math problems using the online tool and students can write/type and tutors can help them edit essays of theirs as well using the online tool live, for example. The fact that the WyzAnt online learning tool works like Zoom very handily in that regard makes for very productive online tutoring sessions here at WyzAnt.

*Tutors do not pay any monthly or annual fees to work with WyzAnt on- or offline. WyzAnt does take certain percentages of commission from tutors' income (with tutors being allowed to set our own hourly rates for online and in-person tutoring sessions, separately and together financially accordingly). WyzAnt's commission percentages vary depending on how many hours you accrue tutoring with the network. The more hours you work with WyzAnt, the higher your own earnings as a tutor are on the network. It's sort of like getting a raise so to speak. The highest percentage of income that tutors with WyzAnt will ultimately earn over time is 75% after a substantial number of hours tutoring are accrued on the network. Tutoring hours are tabulated and shown onscreen on your WyzAnt tutor profile based on how many lessons are scheduled and submitted online with WyzAnt on the tutor's end.
