asked 01/18/22Hi I need help please this is due today please do all the problems please and thank you
In problems 1-4, the graph of a function is given. Use the graph to find:
(a) The intercepts, if any
(b) The domain and range
(c) The intervals on which it is increasing, decreasing, or constant
(d) Whether it is even, odd, or neither
- The coordinates are (-4,2),(0,3),(-2,0),(2,0),(4,2)
- The coordiantes are (-3,3),(-1,0),(0,2),(1,0),(3,3)
- The coordiantes are (0,1)
- The corrdinates are (1,0)

1a: two x intercepts (2,0) and (-2,0), one y intercept (0,3)
that initially looks like a parabola pattern, except
(-4,2) and (4,2) suggest an ellipse or a 4th degree polynomial pattern
It helps to plot the points.
1b: domain is the set of x values: {-4, -2, 0, 2, 4}
range is the y values: {0,2, 3}
1c: From left to right the y values decrease on the intervals (-4,-2) and (0,2), then increase on the intervals (-2,0) and (2,4), the decreasing and increasing intervals alternate
1d: the points are symmetric about the y axis, so the function is even
2a two x intercepts (-1,0) and (1,0) one y intercept (0,2)
2b: domain is {-3, -1, 0, 1, 3} range is {0, 2, 3}
2c: decreasing intervals (-3,-1), (0,1) increasing (-1,0), (1,3)
2d: It's an even function as the points are symmetric about the y axis
3a: one y intercept (0,1). No x intercepts
3b: domain is {0}, range {1}
3c: no increasing or decreasing intervals
3d: the point is trivially symmetric about the y axis, so even, but neither might be acceptable answer
4a: (1,0) is an x intercept. No y intercept
4b: domain is {1}, range {0}
4c: no increasing or decreasing interval
4d not symmetric about the y axis or the origin. Neither even nor odd
