You draw the vectors on graph paper using a scale like 1 kN = 1 cm. You start at a point on the sheet and draw a line from the starting point that makes an angle of 48° (protractor used) with the horizontal and a length of 8 cm corresponding to the force in this case (it can be any vector units - this works for all vectors). You can carefully put an arrow head at the end of the vector, making sure you are not changing the vector's length. You the add the other vector by doing the same process, but your starting point the head of the first vector and the angle will be 118° from the horizontal and a length of 15 cm. The resultant is the vector from the starting point to the head of the second vector. The length can be measured with a ruler to give the force and the angle can be measured by a protractor.
