GED Prep is my specialty.
Now you know the answer.....but do you know how to get the answer next time?
The area of a rectangle is its width multiplied by its length. Thus:
area=lw
area=12
length=5
12=5w
now isolate the width (w) by dividing both sides of the equation by 5.
Thus we get 12/5 = w
or 2.4 = width
You can find missing numbers in any geometric formula if you follow these steps. Your next problem may ask the radius of a cylinder. As long as you know the geometric formulas for each type of object, the rest of it is quite easy.
