You just found out that you have to write a research paper.

This is an assignment that has struck fear into many a High School Student and Undergrad.

Oh, the pain! Oh, the drudgery! Oh, the work!!!

I’m Ron P. and I’m a tutor here on Wyzant.

While writing research papers may seem like a daunting, and to some, insurmountable task, it actually can be quite enjoyable and satisfying.

To be certain, the skill of writing research papers and reports will be something you use many times throughout your academic and professional career.

Notice I called it a “skill.” That’s because it is a skill. It’s something that you can learn. It involves a process, with steps to follow. And, you get better at it the more you do it. Consequently, it also gets easier with practice.

Fortunately, there are many resources and references available, that provide all of the guidance you might need in order to produce your writing masterpiece. You just have to do several things to accomplish some great writing.

1) Know and fully understand where to start. This would be your “assignment” in detail.

2) Know the step-by-step process most commonly used to be successful.

3) Know what references/resources you need and where to find them.

4) Be willing to ask for guidance.

5) Know that you can do this….!!!

While I can’t write your paper for you, I may be able to help you get moving in the right direction.
