1. Kelly works two jobs. She usually works at a retail store for 7 hours during the day and is paid $8.71 per hour by the store. In the evening she works at a restaurant as a manager for 5 hours and is paid $22.99 per hour. How much does she make on average per hour for the day?
2. A new cars salesperson, sold an average of $40,266 per day for the first 2 days she worked. The next 8 days she worked, she sold an average of $35,674. How much did she sell on average per day over the entire time she worked??

1. (8.71·7 + 22.99·5)/(7 + 5) = $14.66 per hour
2. (40266·2 + 35674·8)/(2 + 8) = $36592.40 per car
