asked 10/15/21What does mañana mean in Spanish?
I am confused about what mañana means in Spanish because in school I learned the phrase "hasta mañana" meaning "see you tomorrow" and "...de la mañana" meaning "...in the morning. So does mañana mean "tomorrow" or "morning"?

"Mañana" means both "tomorrow" and "morning". The context in which the word is used will reveal the meaning. For example:
- Mañana iré al parque = tomorrow I will go to the park
- Voy a trabajar por la mañana = I go to work in the morning
Fun fact: A very common phrase used in Spanish is "Mañana por la mañana" which means "tomorrow morning".

Yes, Mañana means both "Morning"and "Tomorrow". You will know the meaning by the context the word is used in. "Nos vemos Mañana" means, See you tomorrow. "Nos vemos en la mañana"means, See you in the morning. Morning, in Spanish is feminine which is why you say "la mañana". The word "Mañana" alone means tomorrow.

Mañana means tomorrow and also morning. Hasta mañana means see you tomorrow but also por la mañana means in the morning. Mañana a las 10:00 de la mañana means literally tomorrow at 10 in the morning.
