Multiply both sides of the equation by 30 in order to eliminate the fractions. That means BOTH terms on the left of the equal sign must be multiplied by 30 (multiplication property for equality). That results in:
30(3x+5)/5 - 30(5x-7)/6 = 30(x-2)/3
At this point the denominator of each fraction divides into the 30 evenly, leaving:
6(3x+5) - 5(5x-7) = 10(x-2)
Now remove parentheses by using the distributive property of multiplication over addition/subtraction:
18x+30 -25x +35 = 10x -20
Now combine similar terms on left side of equal sign:
-7x + 65 = 10x - 20
Subtract 10x from both sides and also subtract 65 from both sides. (you could also add 7x to both sides and add 20 to both sides)--addition property for equality.
-17x = -85
Divide both sides by - 17.
x = -85/-17 = 5
Hopefully that clears up for you how to clear an equation of fractions.
