A. How many inches is Jake rising per second?
B. At the rate Jake is rising, how many inches above the ground will he be after riding the escalator for 15 seconds? Justify your answer.
C. The top of the escalator is 30 feet, or 360 inches, above the ground. Will Jake have reached the top 45 seconds after first getting on the escalator? Why or why not?
