Implantation occurs around day 6 or 7 after fertilization.

Day 1 through day 6 constitutes the process of the zygote being divided into 2, 4, and then 8 cells. After the 8 cell stage it becomes a morula (16 cells). The Morula divides again and is now called a blastocyst (32 cells).
