What is the height of a tree if the end of its shadow is 70 feet from the trunk when the sun is 

 above the horizon. Round to the nearest foot.

45 degrees above the horizon means the tree is 70tan45= 70/1= 70 feet tall

60 degrees means 70tan60= 70sqr3= 70(1.732)= about 121.24 feet tall

30 degrees means 70tan30= 70(1/sqr3)= about 70/(1.732)= about 40.41 feet tall

1 degree means 70tan1

0 degrees = 70tan0= 0

x degrees = 70tanx
