Length=35+x
Perimeter of the basketball court= 266 ft
Perimeter of the basketball court = 2(length+width)
266 = 2(35+x+x)
266/2=35+2x
133=35+2x
133-35=35-35+2x
98=2x
98/2=2x/2
49=x
So the width of the court is x=49ft
Length=35+x
=35+49=84ft
