A. Point A mentions that eighth graders were reported more than 85% of binge eating is strangely high for this age bracket. Eighth graders are typically reported to be on the lower end of binge eating for this age.
B. Point B regards children 6 to 13 years old being surveyed for binge eating disorder, resulting in 5% of those children surveyed having engaged in binge eating is a typical result. I find this more reasonable compared to the 85% for eighth graders.
C.As for the point C, about that 45% of high school females and 16% of males engage in binge eating episodes sounds correct found in research. Binge eating tends to prevail over females than their male counterparts particularly in high school.
D. For point D, about sixth graders accumulating more than 25% for their age group of binges eating disorders, I find this also too high as a result. Most studies conclude that there are lower rates of binge eating episodes for children and pre-teens compared to adolescents and highschoolers.
My conclusion:
B and C are the points that I find to be correct due to the fact it relates to most research about their age demographic correlation to binge eating. A and D are less likely to be incorrect due to their high reports and supporting research related to binge eating. B and C are more likely to be reliable statements based on research and trends.
