I am studying the bystander effect and have read the story of kitty Genovese. I am enrolled in Duke tip psychology this summer and need to research more.
That's an interesting topic for research. As you would have understood, the bystander effect expresses the limited actions of people to help others when in a group as against when they are alone. In your research you should include the introduction to the subject, historically how and when this came into prominence, the psychological variables that affect bystanders and their responses to situations and mention several past findings on the subject in consideration. Also it is important to highlight the need for this research and what implications this generates in crime and law making.
