Not exactly sure what your are confused about, but I'll do my best to describe the naming process.
Lauric acid is a saturated (no double bonds) fatty acid with 12 carbons. It is named dodecanoic acid.
Linoleic aicd is an unsaturated fatty acid containing 18 carbons with double bonds between carbons 9 & 10, and between 12 & 13. You begin counting from the carboxyl end giving the COOH carbon a number 1.
We use delta (∆) to indicate the position of the double bond(s). So, we would name this...
∆ 9, 12 octadecanoic acid.

in the case of saturated fatty acid sir? what will be their naming? e.g. lauric (12:0 Δ^0) ?06/05/21
