A Ferris wheel radius is 5 in. and center is 6.5 in. above the floor. It turns once every 30 seconds. How high would a point be 21 sec. after passing the 3 o'clock position turning counter clockwise?

Find the height 21 seconds after passing the 3 o'clock position turning counter clockwise

Jason, I will give you a few guidelines. First, sketch the tiny Ferris wheel, perhaps to scale, on a piece of paper; include not only the Ferris wheel but the distance between the ground and the bottom of the Ferris wheel. If you're interested in where the Ferris wheel point would be after 21 seconds, find 21/30 (part of full rotation) of 360 (full rotation, returning back to 3 o-clock). Put a mark on the Ferris wheel at 3 o'clock and a mark at where that point would be after moving COUNTERclockwise for 21 seconds.
