4x -2y = 8 divide both sides by 2
2x -y = 4, solve for y
y = 2x-4 slope = 2, y intercept = -4. when the equation is solved for y, the coefficient of the x term is the slope and the constant term is the y intercept
set y=0 and solve for x to get the x intercept
0 =2x-4
0 =x-2
x = 2 = the x intercept
y intercept is -4 or the point (0,-4)
x intercept is 2 or the point (2,0)
plot those two points and connect them with a straight line, which extends past both of those points. That's the graph of the equation
