1. On a sunny day there is a 70% chance that Jenny will walk her dog. If there is a 42% chance of sun on Monday what is the probability that Jenny will walk her dog? Please explain as well, thanks. :)

we need two things to happen at the same time - day is sunny and she walks her dog given it is sunny

these are independent events so we multiply the two probabilities

0.42 x 0.70
