2. If Helena makes 5 out of the next 10 shots, what is her new overall experimental probability of scoring?

Answer 1

1) Probability of successful free throw = #events / #trials = 21/30 = .7 = 70%

2) New probability = (#total events or free throws made) / (# total trials)

= (5+21) / (10+30) = 26 / 40 = .65 = 65%
